Five ACT rowers (Lauren Burraston, Amy Fowler, Louise Kilby, Angus Moore and David Wright) have been selected to represent Australia at the Junior World Championships, in Brive-La-Gaillarde, France and the Under 23 World Championships, Racice, Czech Republic. To assist with the expenses for these events a fundraising dinner, in support all five rowers, is being held on Friday, 26th of June, at 7:30pm, at the Top of the Cross, Southern Cross Club Woden. Tickets are $70 per person for dinner with raffles and an auction also part of the action. The dinner features guest speaker, Olympic Gold Medal winning coach and last year’s Australian Coach of the Year, Rhett Ayliffe, an auction run by local sporting identity, Tim Gavel and ACTRA 2008/2009 rowing season presentations. Your last chance for this Canberra rowing event – numbers have to be finalised by this Wednesday. Please download the Flyer and circulate it. Organise tables of 10 or 12 in club groups or bring along your friends and family for a fun night out! Please contact the athletes or Jeremy Moore on 0401 349 995 for tickets.
