Lake Burley Griffin level to be dropped tomorrow
The threatened lowering of the lake level will occur tomorrow to allow maintenance at Commonwealth Place. The drop is expected to be 7 to 10cm and the storms forecast for the next few days should return the lake level to normal.
LBG Swim – Sunday, 16 November 10:30 to 13:00
A large lake swimming event is being held this coming Sunday in Yarralumla area. The event starts and finishes at the beach to the east of Yarralumla Bay and takes up the area across to the white posts at Weston Park, half way across to Black Mountain Peninsula and to Blue Gum Point. Rowing to and from Yarralumla Bay will be very difficult.
Daramalan Regatta – New List of Event
A revised list of events has been issued for the next ACTRA regatta, hosted by Daramalan College. The new list has additional entries to better allow the regatta software to cope with the combinations of entries. This should avoid most of the problems that occurred with entries to the first regatta. Daramalan Regatta 22 November – Call for Entries
Entries for the next ACTRA regatta (#2) are due next weekend. See your club for details. ACTAS NTC Time Trial – Saturday 15 November Entries for the third and last ACTAS NTC time trial are due by 17:00 to ACTAS Head Coach Gordon Marcks. The event is on Saturday and other lake users are asked to show consideration for trialists who will be rowing between the AIS Boat Shed at Yarralumla, and Kingston. Boats will not be following normal traffic rules. ACT Regatta Premiership Point Score The points after the first regatta are:

Rowing Australia has called for nominations for 2008 rower of the year. The nomination form can be found on the RA web site here. ACT Regatta Standard Event List – Corrections
Some minor corrections have been made to the standard event list. The changes were: to correct the Event Description of event 33; delete Event 23 (MGB 2x) as it is a duplication of event 2.
