The next Winter Time Trial is quickly approaching and entries are due this weekend at your club. You should look forward to the still cool conditions that bless the true winter time trials. Australian Junior Representatives Fund Raising Dinner
A fund raising dinner [1.1MB PDF] will be held on 20 June for our ACT based Mens double scull crew of Sasha Belonogoff, Nick Barnier and Jaime Fernandez (coach). These fund raising dinners are always fun and interesting events for anyone associated with rowing. Lake Burley Griffin closure update – Thursday, 24 April
The National Capital Authority has change the Olympic Torch Relay lake closure from East Basin to Central and West Basin from 05:45 to 15:00. ACTRA Office switches to winter hours During winter, the ACTRA office hours will be from 09:00 to 17:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Rowing on ABC1 TV’s The 7:30 Report
A story on James Tomkins and the mens 8 is scheduled for The 7:30 Report tomorrow, Tuesday 22 April. If you miss it, you can pick it up from the ABC web site. A couple of weeks ago, there was a story based around Sally Robins that is still available on the ABC web site.

The National Capital Authority is closing East Basin between 05:45 and 15:00 on Thursday for the Olympic Torch Relay. Winter Time Trials – dates announced Just in case you overlooked it in the April Backsplash newsletter, the dates for this year’s Winter Time Trials have been announced. There are 5 events this year, instead of the usual 4, and they start in May, a month earlier. The dates are in the newsletter below, and in the event calendar (link at left).
