Royal Flying Doctors Service Murray Rowathon

Annually, the rowing community holds Australia’s longest and toughest race, the ‘Murray Rowathon’, as a fund raiser in support of the Royal Flying Doctors Service please see www.murrayrowathon.com.

This is the major annual event when rowers give back to the community.

Organisers are currently seeking both participants, and sponsors for those doing it tough on the day.

Call for entries WTT #4, 24th and 25th August

The fourth of the Rowing ACT 2013 Winter Time Trials will be held on the 24th and 25th August 2013. The format of the event is singles and pairs on the Saturday, doubles, quads, fours and eights on Sunday. Please note that doubles will now longer be allowed to compete in Saturdays Time Trial.

Winter Time Trial Seat Fees remain at $6.60 inc GST.

The course is 3km long and runs from near the Governor Generals wharf, around a turning boat near the 1800m start, down Yarramundi Reach, around Kurrajong Point and up Tarcoola Reach finishing at the first […]

Angus Moore at the World U23 Championships

Last night at 5:21pm AEST Angus Moore of Canberra Rowing Club commenced his campaign at the World under 23 Championships held in Linz Austria. Moore lined up for a start in the Men’s Pair with partner Alex Hill of Adelaide Rowing Club.

Competing against 17 other nations Moore and Hill drew heat two against challengers from Ireland, Russia, Venezuela, Estonia and the USA. Moore and Hill performed well under the guidance of coach Tim Conrad to cross the line comfortably ahead of Ireland followed by Russia by a margin of more than 11 seconds.
