Call for Entries Col Panton Marathon

The 2012 Colin Panton Memorial Marathon will be held on 21st October beginning at 7am.

Entries will be accepted for all boat classes.

Entries are to be submitted by clubs to actra@rowingact.org.au no later than 5pm Sunday 14th October. Entries will be charged at a rate of $8 per seat GST inclusive.

ANU Rowers have a Successful Finish to the Australian University Games Regatta

ANU rowers had an outstanding finale to their Australian University Games campaign in Adelaide on Friday, finishing the regatta with a total of 1 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.

In challenging cross-headwind conditions, at times gusting up to 65km/h, the ANU crews held their form to emerge as one of Australia’s leading rowing universities.

A silver to ANU in the first of the Uni Games rowing finals

ANU rowers picked up a silver medal in the first final of the Australian University Games Regatta – the mixed fours.

The mixed fours and eights finals are traditionally held a day before all of the other University Games rowing finals.

The ANU crew of Jacqui Williams, Emily Caudle, Francis Snelgar, David Wright and cox Renae Domaschenz matched it out of the start with the crew from Adelaide University. However, the Adelaide crew, comprising all national representatives including London Olympic medallist James McRae, powered away in the middle part of the race to take an unassailable lead.

WARNING NTC Time Trials This Friday and Saturday

ACTAS and Rowing Australia will be conduction NTC Time Trials this Friday (28 Sep) and Saturday (29 Sep). Rowers will start at the AIS White Poles and progress to via the most direct route to Kingston Harbour. Fridays TT will commence at 7am and Saturdays at 7:30am. All other rowers are requested to keep clear of those competing.
