ACT National Representatives Fundraising Dinner

Five ACT rowers (Angus Moore, Amy Fowler, Lauren Burraston, Louise Kilby and David Wright) have been selected to represent Australia at Junior World Championships, in Brive-La-Gaillarde, France and the Under 23 World Championships, Racice,, Czech Republic. To assist with the expenses for these events a fundraising dinner, in support all five rowers, is being held on Friday, 26th of June, at 7:30pm, at the Top of the Cross, Southern Cross Club Woden. Lake Burley Griffin remains closed

The National Capital Authority has announced today that LBG will remain closed for at least another week due to algae. The announcement can be seen here. When you are allowed back on the lake, you should note that the water temperature has dropped significantly (11.3C), even though the air temperatures have not been particularly low. RA/AIS TID NZ Tour Report released Rowing Australia has released a report on the recent tour of NZ by a Talent Id team. The ACT’s Ailie McDonald and Josh Bruce were on the tour. ACT Youth Cup Squad announced

Gordon Marcks, the head rowing coach of the ACT Academy of Sport, announced the ACT Youth Cup squad today. These athletes are to represent the ACT at the Youth Cup Regatta 10-12 July at SIRC, Penrith. The squad, including reserves, is:

Rowing World Cup and Championship Regattas viewed on internet Rowing Australia has negotiated a deal with WCSN for discounted subscription to view its streaming and video on demand service of sports events. Annual subscriptions can have a 33% discount, and your rowing club can receive a cash back for each member who signs up. Details can be found at the RA website, or WCSN themselves.
