Winter Time Trial #1 – Call for entries
The first ACT Winter Time Trial is on the weekend of 23-24 May and entries through your club close with ACTRA on the evening of Sunday, 17 May – earlier with your club. Note that this time trial:
- Forms part of the ACT Youth Cup selection process.
- Has entries closing on the weekend of the NSW Masters Rowing Championships.
ACT Youth Cup Selection and Nomination
ACTRA has published the Youth Cup selection and regatta information here [2.6Mb pdf] Australian Rowing Championships – Bulletin #3 published Bulletin #3 for the 2009 Australian Masters Rowing Championships being held in Rockhampton from 28 to 31 May 2009. Entries close at 23:00 EST on Thursday 14 May 2009 (earlier with your club who has to submit them), no late entries will be accepted.
Lake Closures – current status
The NCA has released its latest Lake Burley Griffin weekly update. Access to several parts of the lake are prohibited. Lake Tuggeranong continues to be closed due to poor water quality.

ACT Masters Rowing Championship – Cancelled due to weather
The regatta was cancelled this morning before the first event due to strong winds and a forecast that they were going to get stronger – that proved to be correct. Australian Youth Cup – Bulletin No 1 released The first regatta bulletin for the Youth Cup is now available here. The regatta is on 10-12 July 2009 at the Sydney Regatta Centre, Penrith.
ACT Masters Rowing Championship – Programme Published
The draw and programme for this Sunday’s ACT Masters Championship regatta can be found here (draw) and here (programme). ACTRA office and surplus equipment The ACTRA office in Sports House, Hackett, has been closed. The ACTRA postal address is unchanged. A future office may be established in the National Rowing Centre of Excellence office which is planned to be constructed as an extension to the AIS boatshed. The decision to close the office in Hackett was made on cost grounds producing a saving to the Association of approximately $7,000 per year. […]
ACT Premiership 2008-9 Announced
The ACT Premiership results for the 2008-9 season are available here. Congratulations to Radford College for a strong and balanced performance. The masters point score will be available after the ACT Masters Championships on 26 April.
Radford College Rowing Dinner
The Friends of Radford Rowing are holding a fundraising dinner on 1 May 09 with Steve Newnham as the guest speaker. The details of the evening are in the attached notice.
