Due to Saturday being AFL Grand Final Day and also a long weekend many people have indicated their unavailability for the presentations. Therefore, a new date of Sunday 7th October at 12:00pm has been scheduled for WTT Presentations at Black Mountain Peninsula. A BBQ lunch will be provided.

NTC Time Trial #2 – Call for Entries For those athletes interested in state and/or scholarship selection, entries for the second NTC time trial are due on Tuesday 9 October, for the time trial on the following Friday (12 October). Winter Time Trials – Final Results and Presentations The final results for the last of this year’s Winter Time Trials have now been published (Saturday, Sunday) and the final point scores (Saturday, Sunday). A presentation for the Winter Time Trials is being held this Saturday 29 September at Black Mountain Peninsula at 12pm with a BBQ lunch provided.
The ASC has advertised a coaching position with the “Breaking the Drought” program. Details can be found on the ASC web site (job 1035). Applications close on Friday, 5 October (less than 2 weeks away).
The ACTRA AGM will be held on Monday, 15 October 2007 at Sports House, 100 Maitland Street Hackett. Nominations for positions need to be lodged on the required form by Monday, 8 October.
The schedule and information for the ACT NTC time trials was released last week and can be found here. The first is being held tomorrow, Friday 14 September with the first boats starting at 06:45. All other crews should keep out of the way of time trialists who will not be following normal lake navigation conventions. Everyone is invited to watch the FISA Rowing World Championships finals on Saturday at the ACT Rugby Union Club at 51 Blackall Street, Barton ACT. The first final (W1x) is at 18.10 and then every 15 minutes through to 22:10. The A finals are: Women’s single, Men’s single, Women’s pair (with Sarah Cook, YAY!), Men’s pair, Women’s double, Mens double, Adaptive Women’s single and Adaptive Men’s single. Finals are also scheduled for Sunday and include Mens and Womens fours, quads and eights. However due to the late racing times, arrangements have not presently been made to show these events. Youth Cup Regatta This comingweekend also has the Youth Cup Regatta at Nagambie and several of our club members are competing there. The athletes left Canberra early this morning. Its unclear where the results will appear, but probably on the Rowing Victoria web site. World Masters Rowing Championships – Zagreb Several Canberra masters rowers are in the process of travelling to Croatia for the World Masters Rowing Championships next week. The ACT Rowing Association, along with its partners ACT Academy of Sport (ACTAS) and Rowing Australia offer a newly created position, Elite Development Program Co-ordinator. The position will be located in Canberra based at the ACT Academy of Sport (Bruce) with a package of salary and other benefits offered that is commensurate with the successful candidates experience and qualifications.
