On Wednesday 23 September the 50th Rowing ACT AGM was held.  The Board’s report and financial accounts were accepted by Member Clubs and ‘elections’ were held.  In this case, as the number of vacant positions equalled the number of nominations, appointments were deemed to be made via the operation of the Rules.

David Bagnall has been re-appointed as President and Pat Davoren and Vince McMahon as Directors.  The Board welcomes Robert Curtin as a new Director.  The Board will decide on roles when it next meets but in the interim you may view the composition of the Board.  All terms under the Rules adopted in December 2014 are for two years.

Vicky Newman decided not to stand again after a number of years on the Board.  David Bagnall thanked her for the very significant contribution.

ACTAS will be conducting the first of its monthly NTC Time Trials this Friday morning.

Start – 7:00am

Course – Participating athletes will be trailing from the white poles (finish of the Winter TT Course) to Kingston Harbor between 7:00am and 7:45am.

PLEASE GIVE WAY TO PARTICIPATING ATHLETES. THEY HAVE PERMISSION TO TAKE THE SHORTEST COURSE POSSIBLE.

Hello ACT Rowing community! My name is Gerard and I’m a member of CRC. For a University project this semester I’m looking into how speed coaches are currently being used by ACT rowers, coaches and coxswains, and how they could be improved. It would be fantastic if you could take the time to fill out this short (5-10min) survey it would really help me with my project.

Thanks very much for your time and I look forward to sharing my research with you.
