Rowing ACT is pleased to advise that throughout the 2011-2012 regatta season you will have access to live results. Martin Sessions has been busy through the winter developing the capability to deliver live results. For the first time these will be available for this weekend’s Capital Lakes Rowing Club regatta.

The page has been developed for the ever expanding mobile capabilities. To access live results simply type www.rowingact.org.au/r into your browser. For even faster access have a look through the detailed instructions currently available on the page and bookmark the address in your browser.

We would like to know what you think, so at the conclusion of the regatta please email any thoughts or suggestions you may have to actra@rowingact.org.au. Please remember this is a project in development and as such there will be improvements with time.

Preview the live results page here.

With the knowledge that many hands make light work Rowing ACT is asking for Volunteers to help out this coming Sunday.

Preparations are underway to install the new rowing course within the next two weeks. However, before this can occur, the current temporary course needs to be removed. This course will remain in place for Saturdays Regatta (Saturday, 5 November) but needs to be removed immediately afterwards, commencing Sunday, 6 November.

John Simson and Alex Leitch will coordinate the process and brief all helpers on Sunday morning.

We are asking for people to volunteer their services from 8am this coming Sunday (6th Nov) until the job is completed. Remember the more help we have the faster the job will be completed.

The simplest method of completion involves as many crews of 2 people in 1 boat (one must be licensed) as we can find. Please find yourself a larger tinnie and a partner then send an email to actra@rowingact.org.au to confirm your participation.

You will need:

• Old clothes
• A hat
• Water
• Gloves (optional)
• A sharp knife

We hope to see you there.

Congratulations to Luke Letcher the overall winner, and all other category winners.

The final Winter Time Trial Point Score is now available. Congratulation to all the monthly and overall winners.

Rowing ACT would also like to thank all who have assisted within administration and on water official roles. Without these contributions this series would not have been the success it was.
